This day was part of an alarmist observation: in 2005, there were only 4238 organ transplants performed while nearly 12 000 patients needed a transplant.
Thousands of patients still suffer from the anxiety of waiting, whereas it is known that every day on the list in the hope of a transplant is a loss of luck.
Every day, men, women and children die because they could not be transplanted in time, while medicine would have been able to save them.
This situation is mainly due to a lack of information of the general public.
